麥修斯博士，美國密蘇里州立大學文學士（主修歷史），布蘭代斯大學（Brandeis University）文學碩士及哲學博士（主修近東及猶太研究）。現任美國密蘇里州立大學宗教研究教授、人文暨公共事務學院院長。著作包括：101 Questions & Answers on the Historical Books of the Bible、Studying the Ancient Israelites: A Guide to Sources and Methods及A Brief History of Ancient Israel等十數本。
